Developed from detection dog training, this is a fun companion dog activity that ANY dog can do! It is fun for the dogs and fun for the handlers. Scent work comes naturally to dogs: one-third of a dog’s brain processes are devoted to olfaction. Dogs will begin searching for food and toys. This activity is a huge confidence booster for the shy or reactive dog. It is also great for dogs that may have physical challenges or older dogs. It is a fantastic energy burner for adolescent dogs! No obedience training is required.
