Important Information

All pets boarding at The Center must have been vaccinated for Parvo/Distemper; 3 rounds for puppies under 6 months (1 or 3-year vaccine accepted), Bordetella every 12 months & Rabies (1 or 3-year vaccine accepted).

Vaccination records may be emailed to [email protected]. Your pet’s records must be received in advance of your first stay & be updated as necessary.

To reserve a suite, you may call 505.255.PLAY(7529) or click here.

You may bring your pet in at any time on the day of your scheduled arrival. The Center opens at 6:30 am

Check-out is at 10:00 am for all pets on the day of their scheduled departure.

If a later time is desired, and we have the availability, we offer VIP check-out. An additional $25 fee will be incurred if your pet checks out after 10:00 am. Full payment is due at the time of check-out and a credit card will be requested upon drop-off. Pets who are not picked up by 7 pm will incur the same nightly suite charges for each unscheduled night’s stay. Pets will only be released to authorized persons listed on each pet’s profile. In the event you are unable to check out your pet, you may designate another responsible party. The identity of this individual must be communicated in advance by the owner and claiming party will be required to present a valid form of identification.

To avoid a cancellation charge of $100 or the equivalent of your pet’s stay (whichever is less) all reservations must be canceled 7 days before your check-in date.

Reservations during holidays and high season require a 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit. A $10/per suite holiday surcharge will apply.

Holidays: New Year’s Day | Memorial Day | Independence Day | Labor Day | Thanksgiving Day | Christmas Day

Early check-outs during our holiday dates will be charged for the entire stay.

Should your pet cause any damage to their suite during their stay there will be a $100 – $200 damage fee added to your ticket, depending on the extent of the damage.

We provide a cot, blankets, and bowls. Bring any toys, treats, food, and bedding of your choice. A t-shirt or something that smells like you is always good, too.

To maintain your pet’s diet, we encourage owners to drop off what you normally feed them.

Your pet’s food container should list their name and feeding instructions (amount, delivery preferences, etc.). Pets that do not arrive with their own food, or run out during their stay, will receive high-quality food for $3/meal.  If your pet stops eating or begins to lose weight during their stay, you will be notified. The Center feeds twice daily and may deliver a treat at nap time.

The Center’s Hospitality Team is trained to administer most veterinarian-prescribed medications your pet requires, with the exception of injections.

Please convey your pet’s medication needs when making your reservation. As required by the USDA, medications must be in their original container from your veterinarian/pharmacy and be clearly labeled with your pet’s name, veterinarian contact details, and dosage. There is no charge for administering prescribed medication, non-prescribed medication, or supplements. The Center cannot guarantee that your pet ingests these medications.

The Center reserves the right to refuse any pet that is not up to date on vaccinations or shows signs of illness or injury. Any pet that shows evidence of fleas or ticks will be given a medicated bath at the owner’s expense.

With your pet’s best interest in mind, all owners with dogs age 9 or older will be asked a series of questions (examples below) to determine if overnight boarding will meet their needs & provide maximum comfort. Our team may recommend alternatives to boarding at The Center based on our conversation.

  • Is your pet independently mobile?
  • Does your pet have any debilitating medical conditions?
  • Does your pet have incontinence issues?
  • Does your pet have any special needs?

If your pet requires emergency medical attention, The Center reserves the right to transport them to a veterinarian of our choice and/or administer medicine and/or give other advisable attention within The Center’s reasonable and sole discretion and judgment at the owner’s expense.

During your pet’s stay at The Center, all approved items they arrive with will be documented and kept together.

All belongings must have your pet’s first & last name on them. Although we will do our very best, The Center cannot guarantee that all personal items will be returned upon check-out—so please keep all non-replaceable possessions at home.

For safety, your dog’s collar and/or harness will be removed during their stay. Each pet’s collar & leash will be stored throughout their stay and returned to your pet at pickup. For enrichment, you may provide a durable chew toy or purchase a frozen stuffed Kong for your pet.

In the event we are at full capacity, you may place your pet on our waitlist and we will contact you if boarding becomes available for your requested dates.

Brush, Bath & Blowout

The Center offers canine guests the option of receiving a Brush, Bath & Blowout. Please see pricing below.

  • Short Hair, 20lbs or less $29
  • Long Hair, 20 lbs or less $40
  • Short Hair, 21 lbs & over $52
  • Long Hair, 21 lbs & over $63

Grooming is not offered at The Center, but we are able to suggest highly reputable groomers our shelter has partnered with for years.

Rescue, Shelter & Foster Pets New Dog Wait Period

Because boarding a new pet may affect a dog’s immune system, The Center requires a 10-day waiting period for recently rescued, adopted or fostered dogs. Our policy helps ensure your pet’s health as well as the health of all other boarders.
